Shadow Days

Shadow Days

Prospective Milford NGC Families,

Welcome to Milford High School’s Ninth Grade Community! We are excited to host your student for Shadow Days this year.  Eighth graders are welcome to spend a day getting a glimpse into the life of an NGC student.  Milford High School offers students a rigorous curriculum taught by dedicated faculty.  We see students as unique individuals, and thus offer leveled curriculum options with elective opportunities to meet your students' needs.  The schedule will permit a maximum of 20 students per day, in order to provide a quality experience for our visitors. If you do not see a specific day listed on the form, it’s either because the day is full, or due to academic priorities for our current students the day is not available. We do not offer individual shadow dates for students.  We work very hard for the 2 shadow dates per year, and ask families to choose 1 of the 2.

Our Ninth Grade Community offers a specialized environment just for your student.  In the NGC, students are placed on teams for their core academic curriculum including Math, Biology, World History, and English.  This allows a strong connection between the student and team of teachers to support freshman students academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our goal is to help your child navigate the transition from 8th grade to high school, as they learn new subjects, make new friends, and choose from a variety of sports and activities to be involved in!

Mark your calendars:

Sincerely,

Dan Yeager, Associate Principal - yeager_d@milfordschools.org
