Kindergarten Registration and All-Day Lottery: Everything Parents Need to Know

Milford Schools is excited to welcome the newest members of our Eagle family! Kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 academic year opens on February 5, 2024. Here’s what parents need to know:

Eligibility

• Age Requirement: Your child must be five years old on or before August 1, 2024, to be eligible for Kindergarten.
• Early Entrance: Requests for early entrance will be accepted from March 1 to March 31, 2024. Learn more about the process and timeline here.

Kindergarten Options

• Half-Day Kindergarten: Tuition-free for all Milford EVSD residents.
• All-Day Kindergarten: Tuition-based program at $3,600.00 for the year. Monthly installments of $400.00 are available, with the first payment due by July 31, 2024.

Scholarships

• Tuition scholarships are available for the All-Day program for families qualifying for the Free or Reduced Meal Program. Please fill out the Scholarship Intent form, which will be available on our website beginning February 5, 2024, to receive more information.

All-Day Kindergarten Lottery

• Application Period: February 5 to April 1, 2024.
• Lottery Process: The order of application does not affect chances. Selection is based on capacity and building preferences.
• Notifications: Sent the week of April 5, 2024.
• Waitlist Options: If there’s a waitlist for your first-choice school, you can opt for your second or third choice. Note: Parents must provide transportation if the chosen school is not the child’s school of residence.
