Auditor of State Dave Yost’s office gave the Milford Exempted Village School District the State Auditor Award for a perfect audit. The award is based on the most recent financial audit conducted by the state for the 2015-2016 school year. The district received a clean audit with no findings or citations.

Milford’s treasurer, Debbie Caudle, credits the achievement to her team.  Under Mrs. Caudle’s leadership, this is the third time in the past four years that the district has received the Auditor of State Award.

“I am so thankful for the most amazing team with whom I have the privilege to work.  I cannot express the pride that swells knowing the commitment and dedication our team brings to work each day. This award was earned by each one of the team,” Mrs. Caudle said.

In the letter of commendation, Mr. Yost wrote, “Clean and accurate record-keeping are the foundation for good government, and the taxpayers can take pride in your commitment to accountability.”

The Auditor of State Award is given to those entities that file timely financial reports in accordance with GAAP, as well as, receive a clean audit report. The clean audit report means the financial audit did not contain findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, single audit findings or any questioned costs.
