Students got moving with fun exercises, silly movements, and even relays as we launched into this year’s healthy-habits challenge. The energy and excitement set the perfect tone for the weeks ahead of walking, running, and building momentum together.
Check out some of the highlights from this oink-tastic event below

To raise the stakes, students were randomly assigned one, two, or even three eggs to protect. The results? A mix of triumphs, close calls, and yes… a few eggs had to crack under pressure.

Mrs. Breuer’s 5th graders got to release butterflies during recess after studying their full life cycle—caterpillar ➝ chrysalis ➝ butterfly!
Along the way, they explored how ecosystems connect to migration patterns and communities. A hands-on science lesson with a little extra magic!

It’s not just the students he works with who love him. The entire school benefits from having him around. You can always spot him lending a hand wherever he’s needed, making a difference every day.
He’ll be honored at the OMLA Fall Conference on Nov. 6, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Our 4th graders from Pattison and Mulberry Elementary stepped back in time today for a hands-on colonial experience led by Milford’s Teaching Professions Academy (TPA) students. This tradition not only helps students learn about our nation’s history, but also gives future educators the chance to practice their teaching skills.
The day began with a performance in the Zamudio Theater before students rotated through five engaging stations:
Candle Making – discovering why candles were essential in colonial homes
Colonial Games – experiencing the fun of traditional pastimes
Handprint Flag – creating a symbol of unity and pride
Quill Pen Writing – signing our PBIS statement in true constitutional style
Storytime with “George Washington” – history brought to life through storytelling

As part of meeting procedures, individuals who wish to provide public comment must submit a request before the beginning of the session. The agenda has been posted.

Those in need now have a one-stop destination for resources: healthcare, dental, nutrition, therapy, a food market, and a clothing boutique all designed to break down barriers to care and build a stronger community.
We’re excited to see the positive impact this innovative model will bring to our community.

At Boyd Elementary, students tied into this year’s Camping theme by reading Camping with the President along the BES trail—joined by their very own “president,” Principal Espy! 🏕️📚
Meanwhile, at Meadowview, students celebrated Dot Day inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book. Thanks to trail signs posted with pages of the story, students enjoyed reading and learning surrounded by nature. 🌳

This isn’t just about volleyball—it’s about supporting youth mental health and spreading awareness in our community. Join Milford Athletics on Friday, September 20 for our annual Volley For a Cause Volleyball games!
The goal this year is to collect 500 items for Impacting Tomorrow, a nonprofit organization that provides food, clothing, and essential services to support healthier lives. We’re asking fans to bring donations to the game such as feminine products, diapers, and fragrance-free items to ensure comfort for recipients.
The evening will also feature Unified Cheer, a bake sale, raffle baskets, split-the-pot, and t-shirt sales—with all proceeds going directly to Impacting Tomorrow.
Come cheer on our Eagles, enjoy a fun night with the community, and help us reach this important goal.🦅

Community, staff, and student input will play a critical role in developing the Superintendent Profile and guiding the Board’s decisions. Opportunities to participate will include surveys and focus groups throughout the process.
Be on the lookout next week for our ThoughtExchange Survey to share your thoughts and help shape the future of Milford Schools.
