Recently, Grayson and fellow council members met in Columbus to review applications for youth-led mental health and suicide prevention initiatives. Together, they selected 10 projects to receive nearly $10,000 in grant funding, supporting efforts like therapy dog programs and peer-led wellness fairs in schools and communities across the state.
We’re proud to see Grayson representing Milford and making an impact beyond our district!
You can find the full list of grant recipients here:https://www.ohiospf.org/youth-advisory-council-awards-grants-for-youth-led-suicide-prevention-projects-2/

Mrs. Pangallo’s class took their learning outdoors while exploring the Mississippian culture and the journey of Hernando de Soto. No river nearby, but plenty of fresh air to bring the lesson to life!

Using real college-level equipment in a university setting gave students a chance to level up their skills and get a glimpse of what’s ahead after high school. Experiences like this don’t just bring chemistry to life, they help students start picturing themselves on a college campus and in their future careers. 🧪

Superintendent Dr. Fiori has been visiting classrooms across the district, reading with some of our youngest learners and sharing the joy of a good story.
Reading together not only builds important literacy skills, but also helps students develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. It’s been a great way to connect with students and highlight the importance of reading each and every day.

From handling hallway adventures to showing up at just about every after-school event, our assistant principals are everywhere they need to be (and somehow everywhere else too). They’re problem-solvers, hype squads, schedule jugglers, and calm-in-the-chaos pros all rolled into one.
Join us in thanking our incredible assistant principals for everything they do to keep our schools moving forward each and every day!

To get ready for the big day, our Kindergarten students at Pattison Elementary put their creativity (and spelling skills!) to the test by building clever T-R-A-P-S to catch those sneaky leprechauns and snag their gold!
But there’s a catch… they had to spell it out instead of saying it, or those tricky leprechauns might hear them and scurry away!
We’re crossing our fingers that their creative designs and careful spelling paid off, because you never know what a little luck and a lot of imagination can bring!

Students enrolled in Honors Anatomy & Physiology and AP Biology had the unique opportunity this morning to witness a live surgical procedure streamed directly into the classroom. During the seminar, students observed expert surgeons perform an orbitozygomatic craniotomy for the resection of a craniopharyngioma, a highly specialized procedure used to remove a tumor from the brain.
The session also included a live Q&A component with the surgical team, giving students the opportunity to hear directly from the medical professionals performing the procedure.
Experiences like this help bring classroom learning to life by showing students how biology and anatomy translate into real-world medical practice.

On Thursday, March 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Eagles Way and State Route 131 will be closed for a water main tie-in.
During the closure, access to campus will be limited to the Wolfpen Road entrances.
Please plan accordingly and allow a little extra time if you will be traveling through the area.

The forecast is calling for rain and possibly even a thunderstorm, so it may be a perfect cozy indoor day. Build a blanket fort, have a fun board game tournament, bake something sweet, visit the library, or have a movie marathon with popcorn at home.
Rainy days can still be fun days! Have a great long weekend!

Congratulations to Genevieve L. from Milford Middle School for advancing to the WCPO 9 Regional Spelling Bee – Greater Cincinnati Region 2!
Genevieve scored high enough on the regional qualifying test to earn an invitation to compete on Saturday, March 7, 2026. She will take part in traditional oral spelling rounds, with the opportunity to continue on to the 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.!
Join us in saying good luck to our first regional qualifier in more than five years!

Did you know that Milford Schools has a Community Bulletin Board? Yup!
It’s an additional place to find information about community events and happenings connected to our schools and families. From fundraisers to enrichment opportunities and youth sports sign-ups, there’s always something new to check out.
Right now, you can find details about the Band Boosters Mattress Sale, Saturday Art at DAAP, next month’s Mobile Pantry Food Drive, Milford Eagles Football and Sideline Cheer registration, and more.
Take a look at what’s coming up in our community: https://www.milfordschools.org/page/community-bulletin-board

Incoming freshmen and their parents also attended a presentation about the Ninth Grade Community, learning what to expect and how we support students during their first year of high school.

With families cheering them on every step (and splash!) of the way, our athletes showed off their skills, supported one another, and even took home some very special medals.
We’re so proud of our students and grateful for the incredible support from families and staff.

All extended care programs, including Right at School, will also be canceled for the day.
MEVSD will continue to monitor weather conditions and will share any updates as needed. If additional communication is required, we will provide information through email, text, social media, and our website.
Thank you for your understanding and support. Stay safe!

With the guidance of their teacher, Mrs. Adrian Vance Hawk, these talented artists spent four weeks designing and building custom Halloween costumes for kids through the local nonprofit May We Help — an organization that creates one-of-a-kind devices and costumes for children with disabilities.
This year, the MHS team created a circus train–themed costume for a local family of seven children — one who uses a wheelchair and the others who ride in a wagon — turning them into a colorful, joyful circus on wheels! 🎪🚂
A huge shoutout to Olivia T., Ollie S., Elena S., Isabella R., Arrow W., Brynn W., and Dalilah E. for using their creativity, compassion, and teamwork to make Halloween extra magical for some very special kids.

This year our MHS upperclassmen at Milford High School serve as student mentors for our newest Eagles. Each month, these mentors visit freshman homerooms to support the Class of 2029 as they transition into high school.
They talk about everything from study tips and school spirit to making friends and finding their place at Milford.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and fiscal responsibility, we’re sharing these findings with our staff and community as we work together to strengthen our operations.
The audit examined five key areas — Staffing, Insurance, Transportation, Facilities, and Extracurriculars — and offered recommendations to strengthen efficiency and financial stability. While the Board of Education will review and evaluate all key areas outlined in the audit, some adjustments and reductions are already in motion as part of the District’s continued efforts to improve efficiency and long-term financial stability.
