Breakfast with Buddies officially launched this morning at Seipelt Elementary, welcoming 5th grade parents, guardians, caretakers, grandparents, and friends to enjoy a delicious breakfast together!
To make it extra special not only for the 5th graders but for all Seipelt breakfast eaters, our Nutrition Services team stepped it up a notch by serving eggs, sausage, biscuits, and festive treats like “pumpkin” tangerines, bananas with edible faces, spooky applesauce, cheesy strings, and more.
It was a scarily good morning to kick off this new tradition at Seipelt! 🍽️👻

The Cincinnati Museum Center visited our 4th graders at Meadowview Elementary yesterday to kick off some hands-on trading fun! Students explored how Native Americans and early settlers exchanged goods, learning the value of items like chocolate, mirrors, and games that were once considered luxuries. They also discovered how beaver furs played an important role as a key trading resource!

The first round of interviews will take place on November 12, conducted by a panel of Milford community members, staff, and stakeholder representatives. Second-round interviews with the Board will follow on November 19 and 20. After these rounds, the candidate pool will be narrowed to a small group of finalists who will advance to the final stage of the process—a “Meet the Candidates Night” on December 9, open to all staff and community members.

Students in Mrs. Moorehead’s and Mr. Rohlfs’ Honors Anatomy & Physiology classes at Milford High School created realistic “fake wounds” as part of their study of the integumentary system. Using everyday materials like cocoa powder, petroleum jelly, and even popsicle sticks for that extra “bone” effect, students explored the layers of the skin, classified types of burns, and learned about the body’s healing process, including the importance of inflammation in recovery.

To accommodate those celebrating November 11 with their families or at Milford elementary schools, Milford High School and Milford Middle School are inviting any veterans to speak with students on November 10.
At the High School, veterans will sit on a panel and have the opportunity to answer pre-selected student questions during a 45-minute class bell.

Mulberry families and students brought their best costumes, danced, and braved spooky bounce courses together. Big thanks to our district leaders for stopping by to share some frightfully fun stories with our students!

Our friends from the City of Milford Fire & EMS stopped by to give students an up-close look at their life-saving gear and a special tour of their fire trucks and ambulances. Students got to climb aboard, explore the tools of the trade, and even practice staying low and crawling under the smoke like real firefighters!
We are so thankful for our local Fire & EMS team for keeping our community safe and teaching our youngest learners!

Talk about going the extra mile! During School Bus Safety Week, we’re sending a big thank-you to the amazing bus drivers who keep students safe on every ride. 🚌
A friendly bus safety tip to all of our drivers out there: When those red lights are flashing and the stop arm swings out, it’s everyone’s cue to stop. Whether you’re behind the bus or coming from the opposite direction, please wait until the stop sign has fully retracted before driving again to help keep every child safe.

This month, we’re recognizing two incredible Eagles who make Pattison Elementary soar — Candice Spinelli and Tammy Kreyenhagen!
Candice has been a steady source of support and encouragement for her colleagues, especially new teachers. From meeting outside school hours to plan lessons to answering late-night questions about the Wonders program, she leads with kindness, patience, and dedication.
Tammy shines as a true role model throughout the school — always smiling, offering words of encouragement, and bringing calm care to every situation. She embodies the very best of our Portrait of an Eagle each and every day.
A big thank you to Crumbl Cookies for sponsoring our Employee of the Month program with a cookie and gift card for each honoree!

That’s exactly what Ms. Hinners’ kindergarteners did after reaching their first-quarter PBIS goal!
After reading How to Catch a Monster, students brought their own ferocious creations to life using Play-Doh, fangs, and plenty of googly eyes. Talk about monstrously good behavior!

Students are diving into the world of astronaut nutrition through Project Lead The Way’s Flight and Space unit. They learned how astronauts eat, how food is dehydrated for space missions, and how it is rehydrated once on board.
Just recently, these 7th graders in Tammy Gallagher's class were, putting their knowledge to the test with a fun “Space Pudding” lab, creating a sweet treat just like astronauts would in orbit!

This is the first year seniors have been able to paint their spots, and they did not disappoint! We can’t wait to see what future classes add to the lot. Which one’s your favorite?

Earlier this month, Milford High School welcomed our German American Partnership Program (GAPP) exchange partners from Königswinter, Germany! 🇩🇪
Thirteen students and their teachers, Dennis Kempf and Martina Heidel, are spending two weeks learning, exploring, and connecting with their Milford host families. During their stay, they’ve been getting a true taste of American high school life, from attending classes to celebrating Homecoming and joining the fun at our parade!
The GAPP program has brought students together across continents for decades, creating opportunities to learn, travel, and share new experiences. As our German friends finish up their visit, we’re proud Milford is part of their American adventure.
