Thank you for your excitement about joining our Milford Flock! We are so excited to welcome the Milford Eagles Class of 2039! Kindergarten registration begins Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Milford offers both a tuition based full-day program and a tuition free half-day program. We are proud to provide flexibility for families to choose between our two outstanding programs. Some children thrive in an all-day routine, while others benefit from a half-day schedule with time for exploration. Both programs follow the same curriculum and maintain the same academic expectations.

Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, students must be 5 years old by the first day of school, August 17, 2026, in order to be eligible for Kindergarten enrollment. This change aligns with updated state requirements.

Kindergarten is a major milestone, and we’re thrilled to partner with our families as we soar into this educational journey together. Let’s make it a year to remember as your child begins their adventure in learning, growing, and becoming part of the Milford legacy.

Tuition for All-Day Kindergarten totals $3,600. Milford Schools has reduced tuition to this amount following a review of enrollment data and regional comparisons.

A one-month deposit of $360.00 is due beginning August 1, 2026. Monthly payments of $360.00 are due from September through May on the first Monday of each month.

Currently enrolled families have been notified of this tuition reduction by email and were given the opportunity to switch enrollment status if desired. If you did not receive this email or have questions, please contact lyons_ci@milfordschools.org.

For families interested in All-Day Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, the form includes an option to apply for the All-Day Kindergarten. Please select this option only if you wish to be considered. The deadline to apply for All-Day Kindergarten is March 31, 2026.

Student selection for All-Day Kindergarten will be determined through a random process to ensure all applicants have a fair and equal chance; placement is not first come, first served. If All-Day Kindergarten is full at your first-choice school, your child will be enrolled at the next available school with open seats. Please note that families are responsible for providing transportation if their child is assigned to a school outside of their designated school based on their home address.

Letters will be mailed regarding All-Day Kindergarten on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

If you plan to enroll your child in the Milford Exempted Village School District, please complete the New Kindergarten Intent Form listed below. This form serves as the first step in the enrollment process.

In rare instances, young children born after the deadline of August 17 are advanced in academic skills, personal development, and emotional maturity. These children may be candidates for early entrance into kindergarten. Early entrance is a form of grade acceleration, so parents should consider how this decision will impact their child throughout the school experience into high school.

Parents interested in participating in the early entrance assessment process can click the button below and complete all steps in the Referral Form for Early Entrance to Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 School Year. All forms must be completed by the end of the day on March 31, 2026.
