A trip around the globe without leaving the classroom!
Mr. Fitzhugh’s 6th-graders turned the Falcon section of Milford Middle into a world tour as they reviewed the five themes of geography. Using a scavenger hunt with world flags as clues, students worked together to connect locations, places, and regions to real-world examples! You could say these Eagles are really going places!

As Taylor Swift once said, “Darling, I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream.”
Okay, maybe “nightmare” is a little dramatic, but our seniors were definitely living the daydream vibes today in their cozy PJs for Homecoming Spirit Week!
Stay tuned, we’ve got more spirit looks coming your way all week long!

Last week, Boyd E. Smith Elementary kicked off their annual Walk-A-Thon with a special visit from none other than Ms. Piggy from the Flying Pig Marathon!
Students got moving with fun exercises, silly movements, and even relays as we launched into this year’s healthy-habits challenge. The energy and excitement set the perfect tone for the weeks ahead of walking, running, and building momentum together.
Check out some of the highlights from this oink-tastic event below

Physics was put to the ultimate test last week in Mr. Sevachko’s AP Physics class with the annual Egg Drop Challenge. This year, students took it all the way to the top of the Eagle Stadium bleachers—no parachutes allowed.
To raise the stakes, students were randomly assigned one, two, or even three eggs to protect. The results? A mix of triumphs, close calls, and yes… a few eggs had to crack under pressure.

Join us in saying "CONGRATS" to our first employees of the month for the 2025-2026 school year! Emily Janssen and Becky Griliot were both nominated by their colleagues for their outstanding devotion to not only their students but the building staff as well! To celebrate them we brought them some delicious bread from Bunker Hill Bakery to show how much we 'kneed' them in our buildings!

Mrs. Breuer’s 5th graders got to release butterflies during recess after studying their full life cycle—caterpillar ➝ chrysalis ➝ butterfly!
Along the way, they explored how ecosystems connect to migration patterns and communities. A hands-on science lesson with a little extra magic!

n case you missed it… Congratulations to Christian Kollmorgen, an incredible paraprofessional at Milford Middle School, on being recognized with an OMLA Southwest Regional Award!
It’s not just the students he works with who love him. The entire school benefits from having him around. You can always spot him lending a hand wherever he’s needed, making a difference every day.
He’ll be honored at the OMLA Fall Conference on Nov. 6, and we couldn’t be prouder!

🇺🇸 What a wonderful Constitution Day! 🇺🇸
Our 4th graders from Pattison and Mulberry Elementary stepped back in time today for a hands-on colonial experience led by Milford’s Teaching Professions Academy (TPA) students. This tradition not only helps students learn about our nation’s history, but also gives future educators the chance to practice their teaching skills.
The day began with a performance in the Zamudio Theater before students rotated through five engaging stations:
Candle Making – discovering why candles were essential in colonial homes
Colonial Games – experiencing the fun of traditional pastimes
Handprint Flag – creating a symbol of unity and pride
Quill Pen Writing – signing our PBIS statement in true constitutional style
Storytime with “George Washington” – history brought to life through storytelling
