Milford Exempted Village School District is pleased to announce that Kevin Metzger has been selected as the next principal of Milford High School, pending Board of Education approval on May 15.
This announcement follows a thorough and community-driven search process. Kevin Metzger is a familiar and respected figure in the Milford community. He began his career in the district as a Math Teacher at Milford High School, serving in that role for 11 years before taking on a one-year position as Teacher on Assignment at Boyd E. Smith Elementary. For the past two years, Kevin has served as Assistant Principal at Milford High School—a role in which he deepened his understanding of the building’s culture and the people who make it special.
Throughout his tenure in Milford, Kevin has built strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and has developed a deep understanding of the school community. Most importantly, he has demonstrated a keen awareness of the evolving needs of Milford High School.
His skills outlined the core attributes found in the Principal Profile: he is a collaborative communicator, a strategic thinker, and a visible, approachable presence.
While Kevin’s presence at Milford is already well established, what stood out to the hiring committee was his vision for the future. He brings a strong sense of continuity, paired with a clear desire to innovate. Kevin is committed to building on what’s working and collaborating with staff and families to transform Milford High School in ways that best serve students and the broader community.
