Milford, OH — The Milford Exempted Village School District Board of Education announced during the September 11 Special Board of Education meeting that it will partner with the Hamilton County Educational Service Center (ESC) to lead the search for the district’s next superintendent.
The Hamilton County Educational Service Center offers extensive expertise in partnering with area school districts and developing educational leaders throughout the region.
“We’re very excited for the level of experience and connections that Hamilton County ESC can provide,” said Board President Emily Mason. “We are confident that with their assistance, we can successfully engage the community to create a profile that reflects Milford not only as a school district but as a community.”
The Board of Education will work closely with ESC consultants to develop a candidate profile, gather input from stakeholders, and oversee the search timeline. The Board deeply values the voices of its community, recognizing that input from staff, families, and residents will be critical not only in shaping the initial Superintendent Profile but also in guiding decisions throughout the entire process. Opportunities for staff, students, and community members to share their perspectives will include surveys as well as focus groups held at key points during the search.
Beginning Wednesday, September 17, Milford Schools will launch a ThoughtExchange survey to collect feedback from staff, students, and community members. The survey will help shape the Superintendent Profile. This document will guide the Board of Education and Hamilton County ESC in identifying candidates who best represent the priorities and values of the Milford community.
The Board plans to host a Special Meeting on Thursday, October 2, at 6 p.m. at the Milford Board of Education Office (1099 State Route 131, Milford, OH 45150). At that meeting, survey results will be reviewed, the final Superintendent Profile will be approved, and the Superintendent Job Posting will be launched.
