Due to the failure of the Earned Income Tax (EIT) levy, Milford Exempted Village School District (MEVSD) has reduced all student transportation services to align with Ohio's state minimum transportation requirements.

• No transportation will be provided for high school students (grades 9-12).

• Transportation will only be available for students residing outside a 2-mile driving distance of their assigned school building.

We understand these changes may present challenges for families, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to responsibly steward our resources.

Determining Your Child's Transportation Eligibility

Our transportation partners at Petermann are introducing My Ride K-12, an easy-to-navigate platform families can use to access their child’s bus route information. My Ride K-12 is available through a desktop website or as an app for Apple and Android devices.

To get started:

1. Create an account using your email address and a password.

2. Search for and connect to the District using “MEVSD” or “Milford.”

3. Enter your child’s school ID number and name.

   1. You can find your child’s ID number in PowerSchool by viewing their homeroom report or student schedule. If you are unable to locate this information, please ask your child’s school for assistance during Open House.

Please note that some bus routes may appear  in My Ride K-12 before August 10; however, not all routes will be available until that date.

Additionally, you can determine if your child is eligible for transportation services by referring to the Bus Eligibility Address Lists linked below. If your home address is listed in the provided PDFs, your child qualifies for state minimum busing.

If your home address does not appear on any of the provided lists your child will not be eligible for district-provided transportation services for the upcoming school year.

Important Notes:

• Addresses are based on driving distance calculations, not walking distance.

• These eligibility lists are final and were determined based on state transportation guidelines.

• Eligibility data comes directly from our busing vendor, Petermann Bus, using their advanced routing software to ensure accuracy and compliance with state requirements.

• Students currently receiving special transportation services through an IEP will continue to have access to those services in the upcoming school year.

• Transportation for afterschool activities such as band competitions are paid for by various boosters and fundraising events.

In alignment with the transition to state-minimum transportation, Milford Exempted Village Schools has updated the Sitter Stop transportation policy.

Sitter stop requests will only be considered if both the student’s home and the sitter’s location remain eligible for transportation under the state’s minimum distance guidelines (2 miles or more from school), and the request does not require the district to create an additional bus route.
