Child Find

Milford Exempted Village School District has a child identification process that includes the location, identification and evaluation of a child suspected of having a disability within and outside of district buildings.

Included in this effort is consultation with appropriate representatives of private school students attending private schools located within the boundaries of the Milford District to carry out this process.

A disability means having one or more conditions defined by federal regulations and state standards. Disabilities may include autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, deaf-blindness, deafness, emotional disturbance, hearing impairment, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, visual impairment and developmental delays.

If you know of a child who may have a disability, please contact Haley Colwell, Director of Special Education.
