Fine Arts Update

  • Fine Arts Director Josh Kaufman recognized Milford High School student artists and photographers for notable work

  • Music educator Brandon Ditken was recognized as a CMA Foundation National Music Teacher of Excellence, one of 30 nationwide.

Upcoming Events and Community Engagement

  • Six: The Musical is scheduled for October 17–18, 2025.

  • A 100 Years of Milford Bands celebration will be held at Eagle Stadium, with alumni engagement and a preview of this year’s program.

  • Fuel for Flight, supported by Milford First United Methodist Church, will provide weekend food bags for students across all nine schools.

Milford High School Presentation:

  • MHS Principal Kevin Mezer outlined goals to increase positive parent communication, including proactive emails and updates.

  • PBIS initiatives continue to expand, with tiered supports and student recognition.

  • Additional updates included the “Proud History, Bold Future” culture focus, senior parking space painting, and dedicated high school social media accounts.

Financial Overview

  • Revenues remain stable and expenditures are being closely monitored.

    The state performance audit is on track for completion in October.

  • No operating levy is anticipated for maintaining solvency, given current projections and ongoing fiscal discipline.

Personnel and Human Resources

  • Justin Sadler will serve as Interim Principal at Milford Junior High School for the 2025–2026 school year.

  • A revised administrator evaluation framework will launch this semester to improve clarity and consistency.

Middle School Construction Update

  • Superintendent Search

    The district, in partnership with Hamilton County ESC, is gathering stakeholder input through a ThoughtExchange survey and in-person sessions.

  • A special Board meeting on October 2 will review community feedback and finalize the superintendent profile.
