Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Milford Boys Cross Country Trio
Charlie Leatherwood (11), Parker St. Clair (12), and Hunter Vincent (11) stepped up big for the Eagles this past week. They formed a strong pack that made the difference and led the Eagles to a victory at their home meet! These three men did their jobs and had a great season opener!
Ellie Fight: Girl's Golf
The team had a tough week, but Ellie stayed steady receiving team medalist honors with a 45 Wednesday on a Sharon Woods course playing very tough in a loss against Walnut Hills. On Thursday, she was the match medalist in a close loss against Mt. Notre Dame with a 43 at Legendary Run.
Milford Football Trio
Nolan Burch, Joey Dahmer, and Aiden Wehrum all played key roles in Milford's ECC-opening win over Walnut Hills. Nolan, a junior defensive back, led the defense with seven tackles, including 3.5 for loss, as Milford allowed just 12 passing yards and 166 yards of total offense. Joey, a senior wide receiver, recorded his second career 100-yard receiving game, hauling in seven passes for 128 yards. He added a pair of touchdowns, including an electrifying 69-yard catch-and-run for a score. Through the air, he completed 17-of-22 passes for 340 yards and five scores, while adding 34 yards and another touchdown rushing.
Charlie Gehringer: Boy's Soccer
Charlie puts 100 percent effort into every second he is on the field. He pushes through fatigue and pain to give every ounce of energy and fight that he has in every game we play.
Lily Murray: Girl's Cross Country
After a breakout track season, Lily is seeing that success translate to the cross country course as well. Lily had a top-10 finish and career PR on Saturday, helping the team win the Milford Invitational.
Lila Patterson: Girl's Soccer
Lila has been a dominant force in our back line each game this season. This week, she stepped up to support her team on offense and recorded two goals and an assist. Her versatility makes her so valuable to our team.
