Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Anna Jordan and Elle Campbell, Track/Field
Anna, a sophomore, just finished off a great week. She won the high jump and long jump at the Milford Invitational on Wednesday, and then she won the high jump on Friday at the Dawn DeHart Invitational in a new PR jump of 5'6". Anna has a joy for high jump and is consistently determined to better her marks. She has put significant effort into being more consistent in her event technique and brings positive energy to those around her in the high jump area. Anna has worked hard in every aspect of her preparation, and we look forward to seeing her fly high the remainder of the season. Elle, a junior, had a busy week this past week, but registered some very impressive performances. She was part of the winning 4x400m relay team on Wednesday at the Milford Invitational. Then on Thursday, she combined with her teammates to win the DMR at the very competitive Wayne Invitational. In winning, they were also able to break the existing school record by 80 seconds! Finally, on Friday, Elle won the 800m at the Dawn DeHart Invitational, also setting a new school record in the event. Elle has had a great season thus far and looks to continue the momentum into the postseason.
Logan Wiesner, Track/Field
Logan has had a tremendous season for us as a freshman. He currently leads our team in the 400 meter run with a 51.54 second PR. He was a member of last year's junior high State Champion 4x400 Relay team and has continued that success up here at the high school. Logan continues to improve each week and will be a very valuable member of our team for the next several years! Congratulations Logan!
Quinn Zurmehly, Baseball
Quinn had an outstanding week leading off for the Eagles, going 5-for-9 at the plate, with two walks, one run, and four RBIs.
