Milford HS Spring College Signees

The Milford High School Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that 13 additional members of its Class of 2025 will continue their athletic careers on the collegiate level. The student-athletes that have committed to continuing their academic and athletic futures are: D.J. Chadwell (Men’s Cross Country/Track & Field-Mars Hill University), Andrew Crouch (Football-Ohio Dominican University), Erick Davis (Football-Mount St. Joseph University), Lizzie Fight (Women’s Soccer-Northern Kentucky University), Brylie Gold (Women’s Bowling-Union Commonwealth University), Camlyn Hargrave (Dance-Northern Kentucky University), Thomas Kennedy (Men’s Tennis-Anderson (IN) University), Kaitlyn McCann (Women’s Wrestling-Otterbein University), Sam Scally (Football-Marietta College), Aidan Sexton (Men’s Lacrosse-Ohio Northern University), Violet Shuluga (Women’s Basketball-Marian University), Wyatt Simones (Men’s Soccer-Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology) and Daniel Walker (Football-Wittenberg University).

Chadwell helped Milford qualify for three consecutive OHSAA Cross Country Regional Championships and earned second team All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference honors during his sophomore season. During track & field, Chadwell owns school records in the 3,000 meter steeplechase outdoors and the 800 and 1600 meter runs indoors.

At Mars Hill, an NCAA Division II program in Mars Hill, N.C., Chadwell will compete for cross country head coach Carter Benge and track & field head coach Richard Clarke. D.J. is the son of Dan and Mandy Chadwell.

Crouch moved into the starting line-up at defensive end as a senior, finishing the campaign with 42 tackles, including 7.5 for loss. He added 3.5 sacks, two passes deflected and one interception that he returned for 33 yards.

At Ohio Dominican, an NCAA Division II program in Columbus, Ohio, Crouch will play for head coach Kelly Cummings. Andrew is the nephew of Margaret Raffel.

Davis also became a starter his senior season along the Milford offensive line, playing regularly at center and also drawing time at guard. He also saw action on defense, recording one-half a tackle for loss for the season.

At Mount St. Joseph, an NCAA Division III program on Cincinnati’s West Side, Davis will play for head coach Tyler Hopperton. Erick is the son of Crystal Worsham.

Fight capped an outstanding career as a two-time All-ECC selection, including first team as a senior. She also earned first team Cincinnati Enquirer All-Star. Last fall, Fight scored eight goals and added four assists to give her 17 goals and 11 assists for her career. She was also an honorable mention All-ECC selection on the basketball court this winter.

At NKU, an NCAA Division I program in Highland Heights, KY, Fight will play for head coach Bob Sheehan. Lizzie is the daughter of Dave and Jeanna Fight.

Gold had a big senior year that featured first team All-ECC accolades, while helping the Eagles qualify for the OHSAA District Tournament. She earned All-ECC honorable mention as a junior, while qualifying for Districts as an individual. Gold’s 169.2 average last winter ranked as the fifth-highest in the ECC.

At Union Commonwealth, an NAIA program in Barbourville, KY, Gold will compete for head coach Tom Doyle. Brylie is the daughter of Thomas Gold.

Hargrave was a four-year member of the Milford Dance program. As an Eagle, she helped the squad win four straight ECC Championships.

At NKU, an NCAA Division I program in Highland Heights, KY, Hargrave will compete for head coach Caitlin Jacobs. Camlyn is the daughter of Charles and Stacey Hargrave.

Kennedy has moved into singles play as a senior, posting a 7-3 match record to date. As a junior, Kennedy teamed with Jack Bowsher to qualify for the OHSAA District Tournament and earn first team All-ECC accolades. The duos final regular season record was 10-1.

At Anderson, an NCAA Division III program in Anderson, IN, Kennedy will play for head coach Scott Greve. Thomas is the son of Donald and Melissa Kennedy.

McCann had a senior season to remember, taking first place in her weight class at OHSAA Sectionals, before moving on to a sixth-place finish at Districts. She also qualified for the second round of the postseason as a junior.

At Otterbein, an NCAA Division III program in Westerville, Ohio, McCann will compete for head coach Doug Short. Kaitlyn is the daughter of Brian McCann and Leann Strausbaugh-McCann and Julie McCann-Bradshaw and Matt Bradshaw.

Scally became a regular at linebacker for the Eagles as a senior. He wrapped up the campaign with 40 total tackles, including a pair for loss, along with a forced fumble.

At Marietta, an NCAA Division III program in Marietta, Ohio, Scally will play for head coach Tom Kaufman and join his brother Nick on the Pioneers’ roster. Sam is the son of Anthony and Katie Scally.

Sexton has been a three-year regular for the Eagles, scoring over 60 career goals to date. This season, he is once again among Milford’s leading scorers with nearly 30 goals to his credit as the Eagles captured the 2025 ECC Championship.

At Ohio Northern, an NCAA Division III program in Ada, OH, Sexton will play for head coach Nat St. Laurent. Aidan is the son of Ron and Abbe Sexton.

Shuluga will go down as one of the greatest girls basketball players in school history. This season, she earned special mention All-Ohio, first team all-district and her third straight first team All-ECC award. Shuluga made history becoming just the fourth Milford player ever to top 1,000 career points. She also was selected to play in the Ohio/Kentucky and Ohio District 16 All-Star Games.

At Marian, an NAIA program in Indianapolis, IN, Shuluga will play for head coach Suntana Anderson. Violet is the daughter of Jason and Molly Shuluga.

Simones, a fierce defender, was a two-time All-ECC second team selection. Offensively, he added a goal and four assists as a senior, in helping the Eagles to a 12-victory season.

At Rose-Hulman, an NCAA Division III program in Terre Haute, IN, Simones will play for head coach Sean Helliwell. Wyatt is the son of Joe and Heidi Simones.

Walker was a two-year regular on the Milford defensive line, earning second team All-ECC honors as a senior. For the campaign, he finished with 45 tackles, including 3.5 for loss, a pair of sacks and a forced fumble. During Milford’s record-breaking campaign season of 2023, Walker had 19 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and an interception. Walker is also an accomplished thrower on the Milford Track & Field team, having qualified for the OHSAA State meet in the discus as a junior.

At Wittenberg, an NCAA Division III program in Springfield, OH, Walker will play for head coach Jim Collins. Daniel is the son of Angel Price.

This group joins eight other Class of 2025 members who announced college commitments earlier this school year.
