ECC Athletes of the Week April 21

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Melody Swats and Mahima Vasa
Milford Track

This week at the New Richmond Invitational, Melody had a great opening leg of the 4x800 relay helping the team to a first-place finish. The freshman also placed second in the 3200, her first time ever competing in the race. Her strong efforts helped the team to a third-place overall finish. Mahima, a senior, turned in two excellent races Friday night at the Anderson Invitational. She started off the meet anchoring the winning 4x800 relay team and capped things off with a second-place finish in the steeplechase. This was Mahima's first time ever competing in the event, and she narrowly missed setting the school record.

Phineas List and Paul Dumont
Milford Track

Phineas, a sophomore, turned in a stellar performance for the boys' team at the New Richmond Invite, setting personal bests in both the 1600 and 800 meter runs. His continued improvement and hard work are an integral part of the team! Paul, a junior, helped lead the Eagles at the New Richmond Relays and Anderson Invitational. Paul was part of the school record-setting 4x1600 relay at New Richmond and came back to lead the 4x800 relay and place third overall in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

Bryce Fielman
Sophomore, Milford Volleyball

In our four-game match against Lebanon, Bryce set an ECC and school record with 30 kills. He currently leads the ECC with 199 kills through 12 matches.
