GAME REWIND
The Eagles shrugged off a slow start and a six-point deficit in the second quarter to knock off Withrow 38-26 for the squad’s first Eastern Cincinnati Conference win of the year. Milford made just 1 of 9 first quarter field goals and was trailing 12-6 at the 5:28 mark of the second. But the Eagles would score the final 11 points of the period to take a lead into the break they would never relinquish.

GAME REWIND
West Clermont made five three-pointers in the first quarter and 12 for the game as the Wolves picked up a 64-43 win over the Eagles. Milford was also bothered by the Wolves’ pressing defense that forced 18 turnovers and produced 26 points. Azyiah Williams led the way for Milford with a career-high 22 points.

INSIDE THE ECC: Walnut Hills took a good first step to making it three straight conference championship with a win over Loveland last Saturday. The Eagles are currently 3-0 in league play, one game ahead of Loveland and West Clermont. The schedule for ECC conference games this week includes: Wednesday-Anderson at Milford, Turpin at Loveland, Walnut Hills at Kings and West Clermont at Withrow; Saturday-Milford at Loveland, Withrow at Anderson, Walnut Hills at Turpin and Kings at West Clermont.
POLL WATCH: The Eagles did not receive any votes in the weekly Cincinnati Enquirer area Division I coaches’ poll. Mount Notre Dame continues to the No. 1 ranked team, earning 16 of the 213first place votes. ECC member Walnut Hills is second with four top nods. The rest of top-five includes Princeton (two votes), Mason and Lakota West (one vote). The ECC is also represented by Loveland in sixth, and West Clermont and Kings among others receiving votes.
