SETTING THE SCENE: For the second consecutive year, the Lady Eagles of Milford captured first place at last week’s New Richmond Invitational. Milford’s girls dominated the New Richmond Invite, with nineteen different Milford athletes contributing points for the team. The Eagles now prepare to compete at the Anderson Invitational along with a number of other Eastern Cincinnati Conference teams.
A LOOK BACK: The Lady Eagles dominated at the New Richmond Invitational, taking the team championship by more than 50 points over second place hosts New Richmond. Andrea Armstrong swept the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes, as well as the long jump, while Haley Rodeffer took first in both the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles. The 4x100 meter relay team of Caitlyn Wiscombe, Madison Chitwood, Megan Kussman and Bryn Rolfsen took first place as well.

POLL WATCH: Mason remained atop the standing in the latest area coaches’ poll from the Cincinnati Enquirer. However, Princeton rose to second while the ECC’s Kings fell from second to third. Anderson rose from sixth to fourth followed by Lakota East. Withrow fell in the poll as well, now sixth after sitting in fourth last week. Though not previously ranked, Loveland moved into the top ten at eighth. After a dominating performance at New Richmond, Milford received twenty-one votes in week four, while Turpin, who fell out of the top ten, received fifteen votes.
