Two members of Milford’s 2022-23 boys basketball team were recently recognized for their play this winter as junior Gavin Dalen and senior Erich Morgan received honorable mention All-Ohio honors. They are the first all-state boys basketball players at Milford of record since 1956.

In his first full varsity season, Dalen earned first team All-ECC, as well as honorable mention all-district from both the coaches and media. Dalen’s junior season saw him average 11.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, along with 53 blocked shots. Among ECC players, he was 13th in points per game and second in both rebounds and blocks.

Morgan was tabbed first team All-ECC, second team all-district in a vote of coaches and honorable mention all-district by the media. He concluded a fine senior season ranking fourth in the league in scoring with 15.8 points per game. Morgan also set a Milford school record for three-pointers in a season by connecting on 57. He finishes his career with back-to-back all-conference first team awards, along with the third most three-pointers in a career by a Milford player with 93.
