Sarah Sloan Recommended as Mulberry's Next Principal

Milford Exempted Village School District has announced the hiring recommendation of Mrs. Sarah Sloan, assistant principal of Milford Junior High School, as the new principal for Mulberry Elementary. She is replacing Mr. Brian Zawodny who resigned to take a position in the Kettering City Schools.  Mrs. Sloan’s recommendation will be voted upon at the Milford Board of Education meeting on Thursday, May 19, 2016.

In addition to serving on the administrative team at the junior high for the past year, Mrs. Sloan has administrative experience in Hamilton City Schools. Prior to this school year, she was the assistant principal at Bridgeport Elementary School in Hamilton.  For 12 years, she was a both a third and fifth grade teacher in the West Clermont Local District. She has also has elementary teaching experience in Clermont Northeastern and Goshen School Districts.

Mrs. Sloan has a Masters in Educational Leadership and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Cincinnati.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University.

Mrs. Sloan and her family live in the Milford School District and her two children attend Pattison Elementary.
