Milford JHS Builder’s Club continues to offer meaningful community-service activities for our students. Their latest fundraiser involved Josh Cares, a non-profit organization that provides comfort, support and companionship to seriously ill patients at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. The donations are used to help children whose parents can't be with them at the hospital feel more comfortable by having a sponsored advocate sit with them.

The MJHS Builder’s Club sold individual links for the Josh Cares Links of Love chain for $1.00 each and sold so many they ran out of links! Combined with the money from the fall dodgeball tournament, a grand total of $1,400 has been raised for Josh Cares this school year!

"We displayed the chain in the cafeteria to show students how much they raised, one section of white links represents an hour that a child is not alone in the hospital," said Mrs. Parker, advisor to the Builder’s Club.

A special shout out to Lucy Molter (pictured), an 8th grader at MJHS, who will be accepting an award from the Josh Cares Foundation on behalf of MJHS at an Awards Banquet at Newport on the Levee on February 22. Lucy raised $300 individually and was the top fundraiser at MJHS!

"Our Links of Love chain is displayed through the month of February at Newport on the Levee. Stop by to see the combined efforts of students across the Cincinnati area as well as other activities created by the Josh Cares student leader committee, all of which  help support this cause," said Kelli Ellison, MJHS Principal.
