High School Students earn top marks at Art & Writing Competition

At the annual high school Scholastic Art and Writing Competition, Milford students did very well. Seven students earned top marks, congratulations! Their work was judged regionally against all other high schools in our county. Works receiving "Gold Keys" will advance to the national judging level. An exhibition of all of the award winning contest entries will be on display at the Art Academy of Cincinnati February 10 through 21. Work from students Liv Bailey, Jonathan Baker, Molly Cambron, Lauren Cope, Kelsey Cote, Michael Felter and Maddie Reckman was recognized. Click here to read more.
 
Liv Bailey, senior, won a Gold Key for her art piece titled "Tennis Court," a Silver Key for her art piece titled "Basel," and a Gold Key for her written piece titled "This Is All Yours," as well as an Honorable Mention for an art piece called "To Coexist."
 
Jonathan Baker, junior, won a Gold Key for his art piece called "Hoop Dreams."
 
Molly Cambron, sophomore, won a Gold Key for her art piece called "It's Okay Not to Be Okay."
 
Lauren Cope, senior, won a Silver Key for her art piece titled "Beauty in our Wisdom" and an Honorable Mention for an art piece titled "Curiosity Killed the Cat."
 
Kelsey Cote, sophomore, won a Gold Key for her written piece titled "Japanese Shrine."
 
Michael Faler, senior, won Gold Keys for his art pieces titled "Cherry Blossom" and "New York Street."
 
Maddie Reckman, senior, won Silver Key for her art pieces titled "Stem of Consciousness" and "Vanish," and an Honorable Mention for her written piece titled "Belly of Butterflies."
