Milford Schools Names Communications and Public Relations Director

At the Board meeting on August 15, the Milford Board of Education approved the contract of Wendy Planicka as the district’s new Director of Communications and Public Relations effective September 3, 2019.
Planicka is currently the Coordinator of Communications for the Xenia Community Schools in Xenia, Ohio, a position she has held since March 2018. Prior to this, Planicka was the Communications Coordinator for the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities for 11 years. She also served as the Communications Coordinator for five years for the West Clermont Local School District. Planicka started her career as a reporter and photographer for the Community Press Newspapers. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism.

I am looking forward to capturing the great work teachers are doing in their classrooms while also focusing on community engagement to further strengthen the community’s support.”
The Communications and Public Relations Director is a new position for the Milford School District.
“Communication with our parents, students, staff, community, and graduates is critical. We are excited about this new position and finding someone with the expertise of Mrs. Planicka to continue to share our story,” said Milford Superintendent Nancy House.
