Constitution Day Celebration

Posted on: September 19, 2016

Milford High School students will again be hosting a Constitution Day celebration at Miami Meadows Park this Saturday, September 24. The program will take place in the Spirit of 76 section of the park from 10:00 am to 12 noon. The event is open to the public and perfect for students of all ages.

In honor of Constitution Day, Mrs. Anna O'Neill's American History students and Mrs. Sherry McCamley's drama students are putting on a living history program with actors playing the roles of the founding fathers and mothers. Some of the actors will be circulating and mingling with visitors, and other students will be giving formal tours throughout the monuments of the park, which were donated by Milford students. Colonial games will be set-up in the parking lot and pocket Constitutions will be handed out. Colonial music will also be played by Milford High School musicians.

Come out and support our talented high school students as they make history come to life.
