Blog Entry Synopsis EndMore information about this morning's 2-hour delay
A message from Nancy House, Superintendent: Milford Families, I want to thank you for your patience and understanding this morning. The Miami Township Police Department alerted us at 6:00 a.m. that there was a suspect loose in the area of Boyd E. Smith Elementary School. We decided to delay all Milford District buildings two hours to ensure everyone’s safety. The timing of this could not have been worse as there were already some students at bus stops and some already on their way to school when we were notified by the police department. We immediately sent out a notification to delay school when the decision was made. Students who had already arrived at school this morning were kept at school and they were safe. Students on their way to school on buses arrived at school safely.

Congratulations 2019 Homecoming Royalty & Court
At Friday’s football game, Milford High School crowned two female students as Homecoming Royalty. In past years, Milford High School has crowned a female homecoming queen and a male homecoming king. This year, because the “king and queen” are two female students, they will be referred to as “Homecoming Royalty.” This change in terminology was made to reflect the voice of Milford’s student body and to ensure all students have the opportunity to feel included. “Choosing students for Homecoming Court is a long-standing tradition that has always been completely decided by student votes, and this year is no different,” said Nancy House, Superintendent. “Congratulations to the 14 students who were picked by their peers to represent their class as Homecoming Royalty and Court.”
