Administrative Staff Changes Announced

Posted on: June 8, 2021

We are excited to announce the following administrator changes, pending Board of Education approval at their next meeting scheduled for June 17:

  • Dan Yeager will be recommended for the position of Associate Principal for Milford High School’s Ninth Grade Community. For the past three years Mr. Yeager has served the district in the position of Director of Fine Arts and Extra Curricular Activities. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Principal at Milford Junior High for eight years and previously taught 9th grade biology at Anderson High School.

“While my role as Director of Fine Arts has been fulfilling, I am looking forward to being back in a position of working directly with students and their families,” Mr. Yeager said.

Mr. Yeager is taking over the position of Associate Principal for the Ninth Grade Community for Ms. Stacy Smith, who is moving to the central Ohio area and has accepted a position as Assistant Principal at Westerville Central High School. Ms. Smith has worked in Milford for six years - four years as Director of Technology/Innovation and two years as NGC Associate Principal.

  • Josh Kauffman will be recommended for the position of Director of Fine Arts and Extra Curricular Activities. For the past six years, Mr. Kauffman has served as Principal of Milford High School. Prior to that, he served for three years as Principal of Indian Hill Middle School, three years as Assistant Principal at Indian Hill High School, one year as Assistant Principal at Fairfield High School, and he taught English for five years at Oak Hills High School.

“I am excited about the opportunity to leverage my personal love and appreciation for the arts to further the incredible work done by Mr. Yeager in creating positively life-changing experiences for our students throughout the District,” said Mr. Kauffman.

There will be a search process announced to find an ideal candidate for the position of Milford High School Principal.

  • Jimmy Carter is rejoining the High School Administrative Team as Assistant Principal for the Class of 2024, next school year’s sophomores. Mr. Carter served as Assistant Principal at Mulberry Elementary School this past school year. Previously, he served as Assistant Principal at MHS for one year. Mr. Carter is taking the place of Rebecca Wolf, who took a Principal position at Riverview East Academy earlier this school year.

  • Shane Ferguson, who has served as Assistant Principal at Milford High School for the past three years, is leaving to become the Principal at Reading Junior/High School. Prior to working as Assistant Principal at MHS, Mr. Ferguson taught math at Milford Junior High for 14 years.

  • Kristin Kauffman, who has served as a French teacher at Milford High School for the past 11 years, has been recommended for the Assistant Principal position at Milford High School, replacing Mr. Ferguson.

  • Taryn Barker, who has served as Coordinator of Special Education for the past two years, is leaving to become an Assistant Principal at Lakota West High School’s Freshman building. Prior to working as Coordinator of Special Education, Mrs. Barker worked as an Intervention Specialist for 10 years in the district.

  • Megan Davidson has been recommended for the position of Director of Special Education, replacing Mrs. Barker. Mrs. Davidson most recently served as a Special Education Point of Contact for State Support Team 13 and previously worked in the position of Student Services Supervisor for West Clermont Local School District. Her education career began in Milford - she worked as an Intervention Specialist at Mulberry Elementary, McCormick Elementary, and Charles L. Seipelt Elementary.

  • Malinda McReynolds, who has served as Assistant Principal at Milford Junior High for the last five years, is leaving for a leadership position in Princeton City Schools. Prior to working as Assistant Principal, Mrs. McReynolds taught math and science in the district.

  • Emily Doblinger has been recommended for the position of Assistant Principal at Milford Junior High, replacing Mrs. McReynolds. Mrs. Doblinger is coming from Ross High School, where she has worked for six years as Assistant Principal. Previous to that position, she served as Dean of students for Wyoming City School District and also taught social studies at Wyoming Middle School. She began her career in education teaching history at Garfield Middle School in Hamilton and then taught history and psychology at Hamilton High School.

"Organizations evolve and grow through both internal and external moves. It is an exciting time in Milford Schools and we are thankful that we are able to provide opportunities for our staff to internally transfer to continue to serve our students and families, as well as grow in new roles," said Superintendent John Spieser.
