Mr. Yockey recognized as a 2020 All-Ohio School Board Member

School Board Member David Yockey has been honored with the Ohio School Boards Association’s (OSBA) most esteemed award: he was recognized as a 2020 All-Ohio School Board member during the OSBA Capital Conference and Trade Show earlier this month.
Each year, OSBA names one board of education member from each of its five regions — Central, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast and Southwest — to the All-Ohio School Board. The award recognizes outstanding service to public education and represents the dedication shown by thousands of board members across the state.
Yockey, who represents OSBA’s Southwest Region, is in his 19th year on the Milford and Great Oaks Career Campuses boards. He’s most proud of “seeing our school system getting better each year and providing more and more opportunities for our students and finding the funding to improve our facilities for student learning. During my tenure on the (Milford) board, we have built six new elementary schools, remodeled the high school, built a new board of education building and improved our campus and athletic facilities.”
Mr. Yockey, a retired educator, also serves on OSBA’s Board of Trustees and is a member of the association’s Southwest Region Executive Committee.
