As the 2016-2017 school year comes to a close, the Milford School District is asking for input from our parents on a variety of important topics that will help us improve our school district. If you have children in more than one school, you are able to take the survey multiple times to share feedback for each child/school. The survey will close on Wednesday, May 24.
Athletic/Sports physical evaluations will be offered by Mercy Health at Milford High School cafeteria on Wednesday, May 10, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. This is open to any student entering grades 7-12 next year and fulfills the physical requirement for sports and Marching Band. The cost is $20.

Milford High School held its Senior Academic Convocation Program on April 26. A total of 78 seniors were honored who have earned the highest academic honors and the status of Summa Cum Laude, a 4.25 and higher weighted grade point average.
Auditor of State Dave Yost’s office gave the Milford Exempted Village School District the State Auditor Award for a perfect audit. The award is based on the most recent financial audit conducted by the state for the 2015-2016 school year.

On January 25, Pattison teacher Missy Breuer was honored by Peoples Bank through their Hometown Heroes Campaign. She was recognized for her efforts in creating a Monarch garden at Pattison, and received a plaque and a check for $500 to continue work on garden.

At Milford's Board of Education meeting on March 16, Mr. Paul Daniels was hired as the Director of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction for Milford Schools. Mr. Daniels has worked in education for 14 years, seven as a teacher and seven as an administrator.

The District is pleased to announce that Milford High School is now using the Raptor Visitor Management System to enhance campus safety for students and faculty. The Raptor system will better allow us to track visitors and volunteers in our schools and provide us with a safer environment for our students and staff. In the upcoming months, the Raptor system will be implemented in all of our schools.
The State of Ohio has changed the graduation requirements for the class of 2018, which based on current data could lead to approximately 20% of Milford High School's current junior class not to graduate. We need your help to lobby state officials and legislators to change these requirements.
Milford High School art students have earned numerous honors in the regional 2017 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition. Overall, Milford students earned four Gold Keys, ten Silver Keys, and five Honorable Mentions. Their work will be on display at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
