The Department of Social Services/Central Registration is responsible for investigating and managing truancy cases with the Clermont County courts; investigating residency violations; providing home instruction tutoring; and identification of Limited English Proficient (LEP)students; and Central Registration.
Central Registration
Milford has a centralized registration process for students who are new to the district. Click on the Central Registration link below for details and the packet link on the right column of this page to download the forms necessary for new student registration. Once parents complete the forms, they must make an appointment at the Milford Board of Education office by calling Jay Batterson at (513) 831-1314.

Attendance
Liaison with Clermont County Juvenile Court, Responsible for filing truancy complaints on any students that have excessive unexcused absences. Represents the school district in mediation and truancy hearings.
Home Instruction
Responsible for coordinating services for students who are homebound due to an illness.
Limited English Proficient Students (LEP)
Responsible for initial assessment of students that may be Limited English Proficient. Also responsible for the administration of the annual state assessment of LEP students within our district.
Homeless Liason
Responsible for identifying homeless students and ensuring their rights as a homeless student.
Neediest Kids of All
Responsible for distributing funds to needy families with in the school district.
Jay Batterson is the court liaison for the district as well as the Truant Officer.
