The Milford School District is committed to recruiting the best talent available to fill certified, classified and administrative positions.
In the late 1990's, the Milford community came together to form the Red Ribbon Commission to make recommendations to the Board of Education on how to improve the district. One area included a review and comparison of salaries. The salaries for Milford employees were far below comparitive school districts. The Milford Board of Education made an effort to improve salaries to become more competitive in attracting top candidates for a variety of positions.
The Human Resources Department coordinates the process for posting available positions, interviewing eligible candidates and making recommendations to the Board of Education for hiring. This department also manages the requirements for teacher licensure and reviews staff rosters to ensure everyone meets the federal requirements of Highly Qualified Teacher.
